Throw A Dart At The Yorkshire Cup

At around about the 4/1 mark you get a lot for your money if you back Dartmouth for today’s day three York feature, the mile and three quarter Group 2 Betway Yorkshire Cup (3.30pm).

Owned by Her Majesty The Queen, Dartmouth is top-rated on a mark of 118, and actually sets down in grade here, having been second last time out in the International Stakes at Woodbine in Canada.

At a meeting where it’s been difficult to be too dogmatic about your fancies given the unpredictable weather and big fields, Dartmouth should be okay on the ground and has previously won first time out.

Now a five-year-old, today’s increase back up in distance ought to be perfect, and with both Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore enjoying numerous winners of late, Dartmouth could well be another.

Good luck!

Friday’s best bet at York:

3.30 – Betway Yorkshire Cup – 3 Dartmouth (win) @ 4/1 (Paddy Power)
