Great though it is, there might not be quite the same buzz walking into York on Saturday morning as there was arriving at Longchamp a week ago, but with the exploits of Sea The Stars, Youmzain, Rosanara and Manighar still fresh in mind and conversation, it’ll be great to be back on the track and looking forward to the last five weekends of the Flat.
What’s more, with the Jumps campaign gathering pace there’s a lot to look forward to, not least the news from Paul Nicholls’ press day of the return of heavyweights Denman (likely to return in the Hennessy after a racecourse gallop at Exeter on Nov 10th) and Kauto Star (likely to return in the JNwine.com Champion or the Betfair Chase).
