Horse Racing Tips

“Got any tips?” is possibly the single most overheard phrase that anybody working in either the betting or racing industry hears. Whether it is a work rider for one of Newmarket’s top stables or a trader at a major bookmaker, they will undoubtedly get harassed regularly for that piece of elusive ‘inside information’.

Tips do exist in the racing world, the nature of the sport and its close relationships with betting lend itself perfectly to trainers attempting to place the right horses in the right races. It is by no means corruption, merely a test of skill and judgement in priming a horse ready to win a race. However, it is usually only a privileged few individuals who are fortunate enough to be privy to such information. The stable staff are obviously the first to know of any fancied horse and once they have placed their bets it is the betting companies who are made aware of thanks to the amounts staked and usually known individuals placing the bets.

The average punter is none the wiser to such information and is left to study the bare form of any race. No race card will tell you which horses have been running better than its official rating suggests at home or whether the trainer feels further improvement is expected, or even whether that short price maiden you fancy is up against a bigger priced opponent that has been running against listed company on the gallops. This is where we are here to help!

Betting Directory Racing Tips is a new service aimed at helping the average punter to win a few extra quid off the bookies. With a little help from Channel Four Racing’s betting expert,Tom Lee, we use various contacts from the betting industry and world of racing to share first hand information and insightful views about potential winners that you normally wouldn’t get.

We don’t promise a 100% strike rate, no tipster in the world can do that, and we don’t ask for any subscription fee. Our aim is to provide a useful resource that allows any racing fan to come along and check out the latest news from inside the world of racing and betting that may lead to you backing another winner. We don’t promise a tip every day, let alone every race, as this simply doesn’t happen either. Our intention is to provide regular and reliable information, rather than ‘tips for tipping sake’.

Horse Racing is a fantastic sport and betting is a great way to add to the excitement that it offers. Most importantly, whilst our information and opinions are from reliable and professional sources, we believe that both racing and betting should be fun and nobody should bet more than they can afford to lose.
